Escapade EP
The new EP from galway band The Sun Seekers was launched in Roisin Dubh, Galway on the 26th October 2009 and also features Cormac Dunne and Derek Murray of The Stunning.

Galway based band The Sun Seekers have been on the go since 2003, bringing their pop/rock sound to venues throughout Ireland, along the way sharing the stage with the likes of popular Irish groups The Walls and The Revs. The band released their debut album Window shopping for Porsches in 2005 which featured guest appearances by Tony Lambert (ex-Bonnie Tyler Band, ex-Saw Doctors), Johnny Donnelly (ex-Saw Doctors) and Cormac Dunne and Derek Murray (The Stunning). The Sun Seekers are Fintan Donnelly on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Roswell Stanley on bass and backing vocals, Donal Farrell on lead guitar and Cormac Dunne (also of The Stunning) on drums. In July 2006 they released their EP Peace and Love in which the title track reached number 5 on the iTunes download chart in Ireland. In September 2005, they won a Hotpress competition to play support to The Revs in Cuba Live, Galway. Last October they released a new EP called Escapade in Roisin Dubh, Galway, guest appearances on the night included members of The Stunning and The Saw Doctors. Since 2005, the band has played 136 gigs around Ireland and so are a well oiled live band and a must see.

The bands first music video for the song Money Honey is now viewable on You Tube Filmed in Aidan Reades studio in Menlough, Co. Galway in October 2007, it was directed by GMIT film studies graduate Caoimhe Connolly, with stage management by Judith Wolf. Thanks to both.

The Sun Seekers song "Peace and Love" was used for the first time on Irish television on RTE's "Off the rails" programme on November 7th 2007. We always knew Caroline was a big fan! Also the band have been busy opening Santa grotto's around Ireland, playing classic christmas songs such as Shakin Stevens' "Merry Christmas Everyone" and The Pogues "Fairytale of New York". Already opening Newbridge, Drogheda and Letterkenny grottos, next is Citywest grotto in Dublin.

The Sun Seekers have a new bass player.........Dave Procter. Dave now lives in Ireland after his Irish wife wished to come back to her native Turloughmore, Co. Galway. But back in New Zealand, Dave ran a studio with a guy called Malcolm Foster who was the bass player with Chrissie Hynde & the Pretenders and Simple Minds. Dave bought a number of guitars off Malcolm including one used by the Pretenders on stage in Philadelphia at Live Aid 1984. Along with breaking in a new member The Sun Seekers are about to make their first music video which will be shot in Aidan Reade's studio in the next couple of weeks. The song chosen for this is from the band's debut album and is called "Money Honey". The video will be directed by Caoimhe Connolly, who is Galway-based and was assistant director on The Blizzards video "War of Words". Keep an eye on the band's website, You Tube, Myspace and Bebo for the video which will be up in the coming weeks..hopefully!

The Sun Seekers have recorded a version of Teenage Kicks for a national radio station competition in Ireland. This song was a hit in the 70's for punk band The Undertones who hailed from Derry in the north of the country. The recording features Derek Murray of great Irish band The Stunning on lead guitar.
